Season 7 episode 9 review
Though the expanding world of The Walking Dead has rubbed some fans the wrong way, it appears that the group’s now split situation will soon recoalesce.

AMC released today a sneak peek clip from the highly anticipated second half of THE WALKING DEAD Season 7, which returns on Sunday, February 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Seriously, it looks like there are hundreds of these people. He wouldn’t just leave Alexandria without reason. However, now they want revenge – and although not all of Rick’s new friends are on board, he might’ve raised an army big enough to take down Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s truly onerous Negan.
After Rick makes his pitch to Ezekiel, the King turns to Morgan to get his input. Jesus introduces Rick’s group and says they want to request a meeting with the King. That said, I’m at least a little confused who left the “BOAT” clue in the bible (if indeed Gabriel didn’t’ know of Rick and Aaron’s journey), or if these junkyard folk have anything to do with the survivalist who made that sign/trap in the first place.
So the real question will be whether or not Rick’s inspirational speech skills are going to work on the new group. It’s another to refuse to fight the Saviors and then harbor Daryl, which is bound to be found out, and which would have the same exact effect of invoking their wrath.
Despite Father Ezekiel not agreeing to help Rick and the gang take on Negan and the Saviors, how refreshing was it to finally bring these communities together? Now we have Alexandria, Hilltop and The Kingdom aware of and pseudo-working with each other. As the group drives away from the zombie horde, a stick of dynamite explodes. If the Saviors had known about this group they would have taken their weapons and probably taken a lot of the stuff.
If we recall, Rick and Aaron came across a boat in the mid-season finale.
After removing the explosives, they hot wired the cars with the cable strung between them, driving the moving guillotine straight into a herd of dead.
Rick, in an effort to solicit Ezekiel’s support, tells the king the tale of a girl, a rock in the road, and a bag of gold.
Actor Andrew Lincoln’s impeccable performance as the story’s main character, Rick Grimes, captures the essence of true leadership and heroism as he becomes – and remains – the head of the group of survivors in the show. Rick smiles. He’s happy with what he sees.

They made it back to Alexandria just in time, before the Saviors show up looking for Daryl. But there’s little time for retribution when Father Gabriel is discovered missing, along with half the food in the pantry. Rick and Michonne showed why they are the best couple of the apocalypse. One of those unused names could end up being repurposed for this new group, but that doesn’t mean they’ll have anything else in common with their comic counterpart. Daryl isn’t interested in Ezekiel’s offer, but Rick tells him that he has to stay. But this situation leads to two plausible conclusions. Last seen standing watch over Alexandria, Gabriel begins the premiere by abandoning his post, raiding the community’s supplies, stealing gasoline, and driving off to who the heck knows where. Alternatively, Rick could be smiling because this man has lost it – he has before, he literally ripped out a guys throat with his teeth – and relishes another life-threatening scenario.
