‘Humble’ Burnley will respect Imps in FA Cup tie – Dyche
Lincoln overcame Premier League side Burnley at Turf Moor and frustrated Sean Dyche’s side to become the first non-league side to reach FA Cup quarter-final since 1914.

Sean Raggett scored the victor in the 89th minute, as a deep Lincoln corner was headed back across goal and met by the defender who, despite Tom Heaton’s best efforts, powered the ball into the top corner, with referee Graham Scott ajudging the ball to have crossed the line.
The National League leaders have already left Oldham, Ipswich and Brighton trailing in their wake and Habergham is relishing today’s lunchtime clash.
Non-League Lincoln City will join Sutton United and attempt to become the first teams in the modern era to reach the quarter-finals (Spurs won the trophy as an amateur side in 1901) – but both face huge tests.
Howe has done similar things at Bournemouth, getting them promoted to the Premier League in 2015 and keeping them up last season.
They have lifted silverware on two subsequent occasions, emerging victorious from League Cup finals in 1999 and 2008, but ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Fulham in the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup, the competition is shaping up as their best chance of winning a trophy to underline their progress under Mauricio Pochettino.
Despite Burnley’s six changes from the team that drew with Chelsea at the weekend their team was strong as there was plenty of premier league quality in Jon Flanagan, Joey Barton and Tom Heaton.
Ayshah caught up with Lincoln manager Danny Cowley to ask how he feels about the win, and how the team celebrated. It was 27 minutes before the Lincoln goalkeeper Paul Farman was called into action for the first time, making a routine save from Andre Gray after Barton and Scott Arfield had combined to release the striker behind the visiting defence.
“We said it was a one in a 100 chance and thankfully we got that opportunity”.
With the game seemingly set for a replay, up popped Cummings in the 90th minute, cutting inside from the right before firing a strike into the bottom corner to win it for Millwall.
“I don’t think many have lost sight of that, they know they have to be ready to perform”. The club got relegated five years ago and it’s a fantastic club, but we haven’t finished above 13th in this division since we were relegated. “Credit to them. My team were nowhere near the level they can show”.

They played for each other, they played for their families and they are rightly sitting on that coach now proud as punch because they deserve all the back slapping that they are no doubt going to get.
