Investigators were still trying to piece together details of the case, and South Korea has not said how it concluded that North Korea was behind the killing. They are: two women from Vietnam and Indonesia, a Malaysian man said to be the latter’s boyfriend, and a North Korean man. Speaking to reporters outside the morgue late Friday, Pyongyang’s ambassador said Malaysian officials may be “trying to hide something” and “colluding with hostile forces”.
Pictures of three suspected North Korean agents said to have watched the killing from an airport restaurant were also released – supporting the theory that paranoid tyrant Kim Jong Un ordered the execution of his half-brother.
But he had said he was not interested in assuming the leadership himself.
Hyon Hui also questioned the probability of the two women being duped into thinking the attack was a prank.
The Mail further reported that Kim Jong-nam had shrugged off safety warnings to travel to Malaysia, where he met his untimely fate. He was probably anxious about the impact of his comments and expressions. Two women splashed a toxic substance “more potent than cyanide” in Kim’s face.
Kim Jong Nam’s body will probably be given to his family through the North Korean embassy, after the investigation will be concluded.
Then they claimed a postmortem on him that we rejected because he is a diplomatic passport holder and our citizen who is under the consular protection of the DPRK.
He would not speculate on how long that process might take.
In South Korea, in an undisclosed location and under heavy guard, is a 55-year-old woman trained as an assassin by North Korea who now lives in fear of assassination.
Indonesian police did not confirm who provided the sprayer to the suspects.
“We will verify again through scientific means, so it is very important for close family members to come forward to assist us in process of identification base on legal procedures under Malaysian law”.
Police were still waiting for the results of an autopsy conducted on Wednesday, he said. ‘We have to send a sample to the chemistry department, we have to send a sample for toxicology tests, ‘ he said.
“She said she wanted to go to Malaysia for filming on a show to make people surprised by spraying perfume on somebody else”, said Benah, who goes by one name.
Aishah said “she was given a few dollars for the job”, Karnavian said. She had arrived in Malaysia on Feb 2.
