Katy Perry’s Falling House Dancer Is the New Left Shark

Some online troublemaker (Taylor Swift?) has leaked the isolated live vocals from pop star Katy Perry‘s onstage performance at last week’s Grammys, and the results are warbly to say the least.

Facebook/katyperryKaty Perry is riding a rollercoaster that is missing a track in “Chained to the Rhythm” music video.

But despite a stellar performance with Skip Marley, one little house in particular stole the show – by accidentally falling off stage. And now we come to last night’s red carpet moment at the Brits.

The actress wound up the United States president after mocking him in her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes – and he used his overactive Twitter account the next day to called her “overrated”. Perry is then shown running on the hamster wheel before stopping and giving a steely-eyed look to the camera. The song inspires us all to break out of our bubble and get more involved with what’s going on in the world.

Perry has coined this new sound of hers as “purposeful pop”.

The singer was quoted, “I’m so proud of it”. And with a new album on the horizon, I’m sure this is only the beginning.

Music is definitely a universal language that knows no boundaries and can make an even more powerful impact than words. “They step (often clad in a clean, white suit) into the life of the much more privileged (and, in particular, nearly always white) central character and, in some way, enrich that central character’s life”.

“I went to the girls” bathroom and went under a credenza and Natalie Imbruglia pulled up the curtain and was like, “Are you alright babe?”

As is so often the case in imaginings that romanticize the innocence of a recent American past, the future in “Chained to the Rhythm” is decidedly vintage, with guests dressed in early-1960s fashions.
