Low-priced flights between Edinburgh and USA announced
Norwegian’s new routes from Providence will be the first year-round European flights for T.F. Green Airport. That could mean additional frequencies and other European routes.

Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said: “Today’s announcement is excellent news for tourism to Northern Ireland for 2017”.
One-way flights will start at $65 for the first 10,000 seats.
These smaller airports carry significantly lower landing charges, which help the airline to keep their costs down. Norwegian Air is offering flights to and from the USA and United Kingdom for $65 one-way, reports Travel + Leisure. But the company has sought greater route flexibility and access to more Open Skies airports in order to offer the “cheapest transatlantic flights ever”. The next fare level will be $99, rising from there. Norwegian was named the Most Fuel-Efficient Airline on Transatlantic Routes by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). And it may be no coincidence that its introductory fares from the Northeast have bested the headline-grabbing $69 one-way fares that WOW offered on its flights from California earlier this year. The $65 fare, labeled “Lowfare” on the Norwegian website, does not permit an advance seat assignment or meals, as previously mentioned.
The $65 price is only one way, meaning you have to pay the full price of airfare back to Bradley or Stewart. Such models are common among airlines in both Europe and the United States.
Norwegian Airlines has received clearance from the FAA and London air authorities to introduce new budget routes that would make travel to Ireland and Scotland for USA travelers and London to Greek airports cheaper this year. From Stewart, it will fly to Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh and Shannon.
A new way to cross the Atlantic is about to take flight at Bradley International Airport.
The new transatlantic routes will be operated on brand new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. This compares to one-way NY to Dublin air ticket prices of about $655 to just over $2,755 being offered by other airlines for mid-June, online travel website Expedia shows. “We are particularly delighted to be welcoming the 737 MAX aircraft, the newest technology on the transatlantic”, he added.
“We are doing exactly what the Trump administration has asked: buy American and hire American”, Sande said.
