Explaining why LG has included support for both Dolby Vision and HDR, LG says, “With smartphone screen sizes getting bigger and the speed of the Internet becoming faster, LG chose to support two HDR standards for viewers to have access to as much content as possible”. The US Model of the LG G6 also supports all forms of wireless charging. All the major smartphone vendors out there (with one notable fruity exception, of course) are preparing to showcase hot new smartphones, tablets and laptops, and LG is definitely one to watch.

LG did a survey of Americans and found that 95 percent of them wanted bigger smartphone displays, so I guess it’s safe to say they took that to heart, too. Read on LG G6 Specs & Features below. While the G5 featured a 5.3-inch QHD display, the G6 will boast a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display (2,880 x 1,440 pixels). The dual cameras mean that it offers a standard camera, along with a wide-angle option. LG has adopted a rounded square design for its icons to be more streamlined to the design. It weights 163 grams. The company has been teasing the waterproof and dust-resistant smartphone in short videos and recently issued a press release to provide some details on the handset’s camera capabilities. It was then stated to make sense since LG had already announced an upgraded Quad DAC for its LG G6. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 also ensures the phone charges at bullet speed. For this, the company has installed heat pipes, which is made from the thermal conductor for transferring heat away from the processor. Not only this, taking the advantage of this unusual aspect ratio, LG G6 comes with Dolby Vision and HDR 10 technology, which you normally find on a television. The phone also comes with LTE-A support, NFC, USB-C port, but it uses the slightly older Bluetooth 4.1. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, something that we have also seen on the G5.

The dual-camera system seen on the G5 returns, (albeit without laser auto-focus), with identical 13 megapixel lenses on the back which can shoot at a wider 125 degrees.Accompanying it is a five megapixel 100 degree wide angle front camera.

LG UX 6.0 is built on top of Android 7.0 Nougat and LG worked closely with Google to bring Google Assistant to the device, even without having Android 7.1. “And with theremote after-service utilizing artificial intelligence, the more Google Assistant is used, the more personalized it becomes because it knows more about the user”. What is different about the G6’s display is the unconventional display ratio. On the front, the LG G6 also packs a 103 wide-angle camera with an auto-shoot feature. This meant changing GUI elements around the software, but also gave them an opportunity to create new ones.

For better multi-tasking and productivity, which all of us try to achieve, the GUI or Graphic User Interface has been creatively designed so that you can have two square windows that can operate side-by-side, so you can have a call window open next to a contact window or jot down notes while surfing the web or view photos while accessing your tunes.
