Microsoft to Start Shipping Windows Mixed Reality Development Kits in March

Windows Mixed Reality experiences, which were previously limited to desktops and Microsoft’s own HoloLens headset, are set to become available on Microsoft’s gaming systems sometime in 2018.

Microsoft is forging ahead with its mixed reality project as it now partners with Acer in bringing developers a mixed reality headset.

Acer is ready to ship the developer edition of its mixed reality headset according to a report from DigiTimes.

Microsoft stated at GDC 2017, that it’ll begin shipping development kits for Windows Mixed Reality, starting March.

The headset will be ACER prototypes and will offer access to the preview builds of Windows 10.
