Nintendo Switch a Major Hit at GameStop: “We’re Getting More”

Fortunately, Nintendo Switch software is not at all hard to come by, with the launch games available for pre-order from several major online retailers, including Amazon and Walmart. Nintendo’s latest system isn’t just the company’s newest piece of hardware, but it’s release marks the creation of an entirely new category of systems: the hybrid console. According to a handful of reports on Twitter and Reddit, as well as a first-hand account from Gizmodo’s reviews editor Alex Cranz, as of this afternoon, some Amazon pre-order customers have been left without a tracking code for their Switch shipment.

You’ll spend most of your time in 1-2 Switch Battle which allows you to play with anywhere between 2-8 players (using two Joy-Con).

The idea is to give gamers a more immersive experience with realistic physical sensations matched to what is happening on-screen. Engadget called it the “best Zelda game in years”. Best Buy handed out tickets to all who waited in line by 11 p.m., but store manager Matt Jay refused to disclose how many consoles the store had on hand.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro, an upgrade of its current console, is due out in November.

Dbrand will refund anyone who pre-ordered a Switch skin with it. Online inventory of the Nintendo Switch keep on selling out within minutes throughout the day.

The long-awaited Nintendo Switch games console went on sale today, and it looks like units are flying off the shelves – both real and digital.

The console, which is expected to be released in March 2017, requires a game cartridge and comes with a kickstand.

But trying to score a win in two different markets has risks, Toto added. Nintendo killed region locking on the Nintendo Switch.

For now it appears that Nintendo has learned from some if not all the mistakes that it made in the past, and hopefully the console will continue being a smash hit well past its first year, something which it’s predecessors arguably failed at. With what gamers are used to at this point, this seemed like it was a necessity, rather than a unique selling point; the last few editions of the Xbox and PlayStation have had awesome online functionality, and Nintendo even tried to integrate it into the Wii U, to no avail.
