Wenger to look at ‘bigger picture’ regarding Arsenal future following poor run
With only Manchester City left to play of their top-six rivals following Saturday’s 3-1 win over Arsenal there will be a greater expectation for Jurgen Klopp’s side to hold onto the top-four spot they have now regained.

For both the player and manager, the dispute surrounds their respective futures, because whilst Arsenal fans want Wenger gone, they also can’t bare to imagine Alexis Sanchez leaving.
Apparently it’s all in the hand shake and that’s exactly what we got at the open training session yesterday at Arsenal training ground today.
“The season before we won the league, the majority of the players went through that tough time and came through, so we all know what we need to do and I think we’ve started to do it”, said Simpson, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
“When you don’t win the game it’s down to real stories and we have to accept that”.
“It doesn’t seem to be a problem for him when he does come on because he still performs to the best of his ability”.
The recent spat between Arsenal’s coach and their star player gives the Gunners a ideal opportunity to make a statement about their future direction.
Arsene Wenger made a big statement after he benched Alexis Sanchez for Arsenal’s crucial Premier League encounter against Liverpool over the weekend. “I’ll wait a bit and see how the season finishes here”, he said in fluent German.
Arsene Wenger wants Arsenal to play with “lucid rage” against Bayern Munich on Tuesday but admitted his team only has “a one or two-percent chance” to advance.
“I understand you have to feed the newspaper and we respect that”, a calm Wenger said.
Reports last night claimed the 28-year-old was confronted by senior first-team players after storming out of a training session last week and that Wenger subsequently took the decision to discipline his star striker.
“A decision like that is not easy to make, you have to stand up for it”.
Wenger has maintained he would make a decision on his future either this month or next and said any recent performances would not sway his thinking.
“But I did find it unusual because I think when you’re disciplining a player you either completely put him out of the squad”.
So OK, you say it is about quality, and yeah probably sometimes it is quality.
