Wenger informs players he will leave Arsenal

The hosts were 1-0 in front when he waved away a penalty claim from Theo Walcott, but gave one at the other end for a Laurent Koscielny foul on Robert Lewandowski. His comments after the game aren’t going to win any favor with the fans, as they seem quite delusional.

“But on the other hand it’s very hard to replace intelligence, and we all know he is a very intelligent man and manager and he’s still got the fire”.

“In the second half, the referee killed the game”. The referee, Tasos Sidiropoulos, awarded a penalty, which Lewandowski would score and, on the advice of one of his additional assistant referees, he sent off Koscielny.

Further goals from Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and a brace from Arturo Vidal, wrapped up a resounding 10-2 aggregate success over the hapless Gunners.

Bayern embarrassed Arsenal again, repeating their first-leg scoreline to advance to the UCL quarterfinals 10-2 on aggregate. Not only were Arsenal humiliated at the home of their arch-rivals, but it also cost them a place in the League Cup final. They stood up well in the first half of both legs, just to unravel in each second half.

Those supporters that made the journey to witness a 5-1 mauling at the hands of the German giants had aired their anger at manager Arsene Wenger during a pre-match protest.

Free-scoring Bayern are in a rich vein of form and are unlikely to allow complacency to set in at the Emirates tonight.

As painful as any of the heavy defeats suffered under Wenger, if not more so.

Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal sees Alexis Sanchez being “very concentrated” at Arsenal, but admits he has not discussed the issue of Sanchez’s future with his global team-mate.

“I will play my best team”, he said ominously.

According to well-known journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Arsene Wenger will not be staying at Arsenal beyond the end of the season and has already informed the players of his decision.

Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper in the Premier League was then spotted sharing a joke with his opposite number Manuel Neuer on the Emirates turf – skip to 0:12 in the video below.

Arsenal’s capitulation in Munich, together with Premier League losses to Watford, Chelsea and Liverpool in their last four Premier League games have stretched the patience of even Wenger’s most loyal disciples to breaking point.
