Hillary Clinton Obliterates Jeb Bush For His Defense Of Hateful “Anchor Babies”
But Bush made the political mistake of calling the children “anchor babies“, which some consider a slur. Trump’s judgment may have been sound: According to CNN, about 1,500 people were at Trump’s event, while Bush’s had only about 200. He used the term “anchor babies” to describe children born in the US to people without papers, and suggested that their citizenship under the 14th amendment could be overturned in courts. For all we know, Trump is putting less pressure on the top tier than those candidates would have felt from another candidate seizing the immigration issue.

On Thursday, Trump said the criticism of his record related to “a fair question” and responded by comparing himself to Ronald Reagan, who was a Democrat until he switched parties at the age of 50, in 1962.
Donald Trump isn’t the reason that Republican presidential candidates are taking positions on immigration that could harm the nominee in 2016.
Trump also told Cuomo he’d he’d warn the Pope that ISIS is out to get him if they meet next month.
Trump is proposing to triple the number of border officers if elected; stop birthright citizenship; deport those who overstay their visas; and make it harder for refugees to stay in the country. “He’s going down like a rock”, Trump told a raucous, overflowing crowd in New Hampshire, which holds the first-in-the-nation primary. But this morning, The Washington Post reports that the head of the Jeb Bush super PAC says they not going to spend a dime on Trump and they’re hoping in the end it’s a matchup between Trump and Bush, David. Trump, as he has previously, called Bush’s comment that Iraqis want to know the United States has “skin in the game” in the fight against the Islamic State “one of the dumber things I’ve heard ever in politics”. Trump has openly admitted he scheduled his event partly to compete with Bush.
“Hundreds of billions of dollars of costs to implement his plans is not a conservative plan“, Bush said. And, in New Hampshire, where Bush once led, Trump and even newcomer Kasich have seen surges. “He’s given more money to Democrats than he’s given to Republicans”. In a video released by his campaign on Wednesday, Bush came down on the Republican presidential frontrunner for promoting policies that are progressive to the core.
“You want to get to the policy, for a second?” “I have been consistently pro-life, he until recently was for partial-birth abortion, I’ve never met a person that actually thought that that was a good idea”.
Bush, who has criticized Trump’s caustic tone and touted his own unique appeal to Hispanic voters, argued Thursday that the phrase, which he once counseled Republicans not to use, isn’t offensive.
