“We are okay with the Chief Justice of India mediating”. During this movement, we will go to villages and educate people on the kind of life that Lord Ram led and how they should also emulate it.

AIMPLB member Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali said that the Muslim law board is ready for an out-of-court settlement under the watchful eye of the apex court. “If the court passes any order to that effect, we will think about future course of action”, said Jilani. “If the chief justice nominates some bench to intervene, that could happen”.
“I understand that many rounds of talks have already been held but no concrete solution has come up”.
A day after the Supreme Court called for an out of court settlement on the long standing Ayodhya dispute, the apex court will now hear criminal conspiracy charges in the Babri Masjid demolition case today.
The Supreme Court is hearing an appeal the CBI had filed in May 2011, when the UPA was in power, against Allahabad High Court’s May 2010 order upholding the Rae Bareli court’s May 2001 verdict.
“Dalit Christian & Muslim issue is also resolved (which is) pending in Apex court for many years not giving Dalit status violation of Fundamental rights”, Owaisi added. Since, then both the sides are involved in a legal tangle. “The dignity and honour of the Supreme Court can not be compromised because of it”.
Sangh Parivar outfits welcomed the SC observation.
VHP, however, sought enactment of legislation by Parliament to pave way for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The RSS will not decide. Senior Sangh functionary Dattatreya Hosabale said, “A grand Ram temple should be erected with the total involvement of all Indians”.
Neither BJP MP Subramanian Swamy nor the Vishwa Hindu Parishad is a party in the case. The Ram Janambhoomi should be entirely for Ram Mandir. There are suggestions that the government may not just build a Ram temple, but also a mosque to bury the matter for all times and also settle the anxieties that have surfaced in the minority community after the thumping victory of the BJP. It said the disputed spot was the Hindu God Ram’s birthplace, that the mosque had been built after the demolition of a temple and that it was not built in accordance with the tenets of Islam.

The VHP has also chose to re-launch the Ram Temple movement, saying it will launch a movement called “Ram Mahotsav” from March 26 to April 16.
