North Korea could choose to continue with missile-related activities through next week, when the isolated and impoverished country celebrates the 105th anniversary of the birth of the state’s founder, Kim Il Sung. “He is making it clear that, no matter what North Korea does, the United States won’t commit to direct negotiations unless Pyongyang shows real willingness for disarmament”.
The backpacks were strapped to marching North Korean soldiers in a past parade and could be used to spray radioactive material, according to experts.
Their conversation comes as Trump prepares for his first bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Thursday and Friday, reports Efe news.
Such closer cooperation could include tighter enforcement of worldwide trade sanctions – nearly all of North Korea’s trade passes through China – along with a crackdown on the North’s ability to use the global financial system and heavy punishments or exclusion from the financial world for those who deal with the North.

Any launch of objects using ballistic missile technology is a violation of UN Security Council resolutions.
The greatest threat would come from an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the United States, and Hyten testified the North Koreans are closing in on one.
Washington:The US on Wednesday said that it is considering all options to tackle the threat posed by North Korea’s repeated nuclear arms tests, hours after Pyongyang fired another ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan.
North Korea also often responds to U.S.
On Friday, China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said China opposed the use of chemical weapons by any party under any circumstances but didn’t comment on the US attack. North Korea’s ambassador to the United Nations spoke before the U.N. Disarmament Commission on Monday, stressing the country’s right to self-defense.
“I told [the president] that Japan is closely watching how China will deal with issues involving North Korea”.
The American president told reporters traveling with him to Florida that he thinks China will “want to be stepping up” in trying to deter North Korea’s nuclear ambitions. These include drills for special operations that would take out nuclear facilities and key North Korean officials, including leader Kim Jong Un, in the event of conflict on the peninsula.
