Confirmed by Disney! Woody gets a love interest in ‘Toy Story 4’
Actors Ed O’Neill, Ty Burrell, Kaitlin Olson and Ellen DeGeneres of FINDING DORY took part today in “Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Upcoming Films” presentation at Disney’s D23 EXPO 2015 in Anaheim, Calif. “It’s a very, very emotional story, and it’s very fun doing a story about [those two characters]”, Lasseter told IGN.

Bo Peep (voiced by Annie Potts) appeared in previous films as Woody’s girlfriend, but their relationship was never a focus. As Pixar fans all know, Bo only featured in Toy Story 3 in a flashback, having been sold in a yard sale sometime between the second and third movie.
According to a report from Empire Online, Lasseter and Andrew Stanton, who also worked on previous films in the franchise, came up with the idea while in a meeting for a different film.
Toy Story 4 is expected to hit cinemas in 2017.
Said Lasseter, “All the characters from “Toy Story“-especially Woody and Buzz-are so close to us”.
Oh, and just in case you’re after even more Finding Dory updates; Diane Keaton will be playing Dory’s mum, Jenny, and her dad will be played by American Pie’s Eugene Levy.
Speaking at D23, John Lassiter, the director of Toy Story and Toy Story 2, revealed the direction in which they’ll be taking the fourth movie.
Also exciting for Pixar fans should be the speculation on what this means for the rest of the franchise’s beloved group of characters.
“I’d seen it portrayed in folk art. It was something about the juxtaposition of skeletons with bright, festive colors that captured my imagination”, Unkrich said of the film.
Further plot details of “Toy Story 4” have been revealed at this year’s D23 Expo.
