Photos of Trump’s meeting with Russian officials raise eyebrows
Peskov said both Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to be at the G20 summit in Germany in July, which “could serve as a good occasion” for them to meet.

Although the media was barred from Wednesday’s meeting, the Russian-owned TASS news agency shortly afterward began circulating more than a dozen photos showing a beaming Trump shaking hands with visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak. Whoopi Goldberg asked. “It just feels like a coup”.
CBS News’ Anthony Mason spoke with foreign affairs correspondent Margaret Brennan at the U.S. State Department and correspondent Elizabeth Palmer in Sochi, Russia. And, according to CNN’s source, the White House was blindsided, and didn’t anticipate the photos would go public.
“Congrats Kollegi (colleagues) at getting these photos! Huge coup”, said former USA ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul.
The direction of the White House under Trump is already the subject of intense debate overseas. We knew they considered ethics a joke. Ambassadors often accompany visiting dignitaries to the White House.
This has led the NPPA among many others to accuse the White House of enabling Russian propaganda after the Russian Foreign Ministry released the only photos of the meeting to United States news agencies and the public. There had been no plans to immediately broadcast images from the meeting, the official said.
It’s called “electing Donald Trump president of the United States”. “They made sure everybody saw that picture”.
White House officials offered a somewhat different version Wednesday of how Trump came to fire Comey, casting his decision as one that reflected an “erosion of confidence” that had always been in the making.
Describing the whole situation as “nonsense”, the Russian photographer posted an “address to the USA media” on his Facebook page.
The photographer involved – Alexandr Scherbak – also took to Facebook to address what he called the “hysteria around my photoshoot”, which raised hackles among U.S. media denied access to the meeting. “We worked for just a minute and that’s all”.
The White House is left fuming after Russia publishes photos of Donald Trump meeting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov (R).
Rogers told the hearing he had not been consulted beforehand.
A White House spokeswoman on Thursday morning had said that Trump was expected to soon visit Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters, but MSNBC later reported that plan had been thrown out after agency officials told the White House that Trump would not be greeted warmly following his firing of Comey.
The embarrassment was compounded by Ambassador Kislyak’s presence.
Former U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was forced to resign for failing to disclose the content of his talks with Kislyak and then misleading Vice President Mike Pence about the conversations.

“When I did this now I said, ‘I probably, maybe will confuse people, maybe I’ll expand that, you know, lengthen the time, ‘ because it should be over with, in my opinion, should have been over with a long time ago, ’cause all it is, is an excuse”, he said.
