“Bollywood Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Baahubali2 to surpass *lifetime biz* of #Dangal (Rs 387.38 cr)… However, that doesn’t seem possible as proved in the case of many big-budget films that released post Baahubali: The Beginning. The film has already emerged as the highest grossing Indian film in overseas and set a huge benchmark for upcoming biggies. Gross Rs 100.55 crore (approximately) in 16 days. On the other hand, the Prabhas-starrer has also become the first movie to rake in a collection of over Rs 1000 crore worldwide that too in its first week of release. But since Baahubali 2 has now emerged as the greatest hit in the history of Indian cinema, KRK seems he has no option but to take a U-Turn.
It is the second film after Endhiran to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in TN.
Baahubali 2 has also become the highest Indian grossing film in the United States by shattering the record of Aamir Khan’s Dangal.
Among actresses, Kangana Ranaut (Rs 10-12 crore) and Deepika Padukone (Rs 8-10 crore) are leading the charge.
