Kawhi Leonard questionable for Game 3 against Warriors

The Golden State Warriors will be looking to take a commanding 3-0 series lead after crushing the Spurs by 136-100 in Game 2 on Tuesday.

“Just seeing if I can run and at least be myself on the court”, Leonard said. “I give our guys a ton of credit. But just a lot of treatment”. “If he doesn’t, it’s over and we have to go and compete as hard as we can and do our best game”. “He’s really added a dimension to our game this year to be able to play through him when he’s out on the floor”.

“We did a good job of coming out, throwing the first punch”, said Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue.

Popovich wasn’t about to guess whether Leonard would play in Game 3, scheduled for Saturday in San Antonio.

What’s the pain like now?

Though Leonard called it a clean play, Popovich said Monday that Pachulia’s close-out was “dangerous” and “unsportsmanlike,” while citing the big man’s history as an allegedly dirty player. “I mean, it’s still not ready”. So I’m happy for him in that situation. I like this about him and feel that it is worthy of recognition and praise. “So, we’ll see tomorrow”. “If they do the right things and play the game and obey the basketball gods, they’ll have a great chance to win”.

Kawhi Leonard reinjured his ankle in Game 1 and missed Game 2. Aldridge’s closeout re-ignited the controversy that started when Zaza Pachulia stepped under Kawhi Leonard’s foot that resulted in Leonard re-injuring his ankle. Later in the third quarter he stepped on Pachulia’s foot.

Leonard was asked what input he would have on whether he would play Saturday despite being injured. The question now – with such a prominent player as Leonard going down at a critical time, will the league do more like baseball did?

“In a way it’s a game that you should be the most energized and ready to play, focused and with that edge, because you’re in a desperate position”, Gasol said. But the thing that worries me is that he did it again, the exact same thing.

“It’s frustrating”, he said.

“I said, ‘I’m trying to get to the game.’ So I let the bus go, and the 18 cops, and I’m going around behind the bus”.

Curry used 6-for-9 shooting on 3-pointers to lead seven Warriors scorers in double figures. They were ahead 72-44 at halftime and were up 106-75 heading into the fourth period. Accordingly, the national media nearly unanimously predicted the Golden State Warriors would prevail in the best of 7 series of the NBA Western Conference Finals. “Took us a minute to figure it out to get up to that game speed after this little break”. The suit also claims that Vasquez, as a plaintiff, “expects that members of the team he supports will not be targeted for injury”. In Game 1, when the small forward re-injured his ankle that he had sprained five days earlier, San Antonio blew a 23-point second-half lead.

Aldridge did his part for most of Game 1, ending the series opener with a team-high 28 points, though he struggled once Leonard was sent to the locker room with his injury.
