After reports circulated Wednesday that actress Megan Fox had separated from her husband, actor Brian Austin Green, she made the split official and filed for divorce, TMZ reported. In the divorce docs, Megan cited the classic “irreconcilable differences” and asked for joint physical and legal custody of their sons.

The couple first met in 2004 when Green appeared on her show “Hope & Faith“.
Earlier this week, one friend said of the couple of 11 years to Us Weekly: “They fight about her career”.
The same insider talked about the relationship and blamed the split on the fact that “things have been rocky”. The number of months the two have lived apart varied according to reports. However, they were photographed this past June having lunch together in Beverly Hills, California. She has been filming the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in New York this summer and has also recently starred in a film with James Franco and Will Ferrell called Zeroville.
The couple finds it hard to balance work with their personal lives as Megan became overwhelmed by the arrival of children and Brian’s expectations. They got engaged in 2006 but called things off in 2009, before planning to Wednesday again in 2010 and marrying the same year. Green proposed twice before they Wednesday in Hawaii on June 24, 2010.

“But they’re on friendly terms for the sake of their kids”, the source said. Megan later told reporters that she felt sorry for women who entered into relationships only to find out the man isn’t helpful when it comes to the children.
