United Kingdom counter-terror police have also arrested Ismail, the bomber’s other sibling. They also said they had released a woman without charge after she was arrested in Blackley.

Police arrested two more people and on Thursday were searching a new site in Manchester suspected of links to the bombing that killed 22 people at a concert, as British authorities complained bitterly about investigation leaks by USA officials.

Manchester police have arrested at least eight people in the case, with 22-year-old Salman Abedi being the prime suspect in the bombing.

Daesh (banned in Russia) terror organization has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

British media reported that Abdul Wahab Hafidah died after being run over and stabbed in the neck in Manchester’s Moss Side district in May previous year.

The report included pictures of the remnants of a backpack and a battery that investigators believed were used by Salman Abedi, the man behind the bombing, to carry and detonate an improvised explosive device (IED).

Thousands of people observed a one-minute silence at 11 am (1000 GMT) in Manchester, London and other British cities on Thursday to remember the victims of the attack.

The UK terror threat level remains “critical”, meaning another attack could be imminent and additional Army and armed police officers are patrolling major sites, including the transport network, across the UK.

A counter-terrorism force detained the father, Ramadan Abedi, outside his home in the Tripoli suburb on Wednesday, while the bomber’s younger brother Hashem Abedi, was arrested on Tuesday.

Almost two dozen people were killed and dozens more were hurt Monday night in a bombing at the Manchester Arena, which occurred shortly after the singer’s concert concluded.
