As deputies led him into the courtroom, Christian began to rant.

The 21-year-old says Portland has a “white savior complex” and wants to heap praise on him, but the real victims are the women who were subjected to hate speech Friday. You got no safe place.

Once behind the glass barriers of the defendants’ area, he declared: “Death to the enemies of America”.

Meche came to the aid of 2 young women who were being verbally attacked on the train.

Three men, including Meche, intervened before police say Christian attacked them.

“I just want to say thank you to the people who put their life on the line for me”, Mangum told CNN affiliate KPTV, her voice cracking.

He denied being a neo-Nazi, but he added, “I’ve fought and bled for my race”. Just before Christian was walked out of the courtroom, he tried another outburst.

The surviving stabbing victim, Micah Fletcher, attended Tuesday’s court hearing.

It would deeply honor Taliesin’s sacrifice, which has been amplified by the millions of voices who have supported our family in response to this tragedy.

Destinee Mangum and her 17-year-old friend, who is Muslim and was wearing hijab, were harassed on Portland light-rail train on May 26.

“Get the fuck out!” Simpson also said that Christian was maced the day before the deadly attack. He yelled statements including, “Go home, we need American here”, “I don’t care if you are ISIS”, and “Free speech or die”. He’d also been reportedly videotaped at a conservative rally yelling slurs against Jews, Muslims, and what he called “fake Christians”.

Minnesota Representative Keith Ellison, the first Muslim American elected to Congress, praised the three men as representing “the best qualities of American heroes”.

Witness Rachel Macy told reporters at the Oregonian she stayed by Namkai-Meche’s side as he was loaded onto a stretcher. The girls then moved to the back of the train.

Following the tragic stabbing on a MAX train in Portland that left two people dead and another injured, the online community stepped up in a big way. He’s being held without bail and due for arraignment Tuesday. He is accused of aggravated murder, intimidation – the state equivalent of a hate crime – and being a felon in possession of a weapon. A stranger intervened, telling Christian he couldn’t disrespect the girls in such a way, she said.

Court papers state that in the patrol auto, Christian confessed to the murders and said, “I can die a happy man”, The Associated Press reported.

“Prison took the real him away”, she said. Die bitch. Fucking die. “Stupid motherfucker. That’s what liberalism gets you”.

Fletcher then stood up and pushed Christian hard enough to make him stumble, the affidavit said. “He threatened me and tons of people”, Gibson said. “I hope they all die”.
