Putin on Trump’s withdrawal from Paris Accord: ‘Don’t worry, be happy’

US intelligence officials have said Russian Federation tried to interfere in the USA election by hacking Trump’s opponents, a charge that has deepened a political scandal which has focused on whether Trump had improper ties with Moscow, something he flatly denies. We want to preserve the Syrian statehood.

Aligned with previous accusations of Democrats, Putin blamed American politicians for the accusations against Russian Federation. “Modern technology allows to do that quite easily”.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was due to go one-on-one with NBC News’ Megyn Kelly on Friday. “The hackers are the same”.

Mr. Putin also said he was personally convinced that hackers could not materially alter election campaigns in Europe, America or elsewhere. His lawyer said in January Snowden had the right to remain in Russia until 2020 and to apply for Russian citizenship next year.

Putin said both Russian Federation and USA have witnessed the collapse of the groundwork of bilateral cooperation that had taken decades to build.

“Putin still has hopes of building ties”, said Gleb Pavlovsky, a political analyst who advised the Kremlin until 2011.

After Trump’s election, “there was a sense that things could change a lot and guess what?” Trump has similarly accused Democrats of politicizing congressional and federal investigations into the interference. He added that he has a good relationship with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, despite her criticism of Moscow during a joint press conference early May.

Russia’s relations with the West have slumped to their lowest point since the end of the Cold War due to the crisis in Ukraine and differences over Syria. The U.S. and the European Union have slapped Moscow with sanctions over its annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula and support for a pro-Russia insurgency in eastern Ukraine.

Putin said Thursday that “patriotic” Russians could have been involved, but covered their tracks to make it seem like the operation was run by the Russian government.

Putin also said that Trump’s promise to negotiate new conditions for the US leaves hope for reaching a compromise before the Paris deal takes effect, adding that USA participation is essential for the success of global efforts.

“Normalization of bilateral relations is in the interest of the two countries”.

While Trump has claimed that evidence of global warming is partly an elaborate hoax, Putin agrees with the overwhelming consensus of scientists that climate change is being driven by man-made carbon emissions.
