Apple gears up for big announcements at WWDC
It’s pretty straightforward. iPhones using iOS 11 will attempt to detect, either through Bluetooth or wifi, whether or not the user is driving; if they are, the phone’s screen automatically lock, and all notifications will be turned off.

Apple also has the advantage of a more ubiquitous smart-payment presence than the competition.
There are many more iOS 11 improvements I plan to take a look at later in the week. There is also a new Files app and this is perhaps the best news yet, and something that could really make the iPad Pro an alternative to laptop computers. My battle chess game happened in the real world – or at least the virtual one, with the help of Apple’s ARKit tool.
A specific release date for iOS 11 has not yet been announced. CNET reported that iOS beta is available for developers Monday.
The Cupertino-based company gave a sneak preview of this breakthrough wireless speaker for the home that delivers fantastic audio quality. We’ll see if people are willing to pay that much more for better privacy, nicer speakers, and the ability to stream Apple Music. Apple’s navigation app is also getting an upgrade and will now be able to display floorplan-level maps within malls and airports for detailed navigation assistance. Apart from announcing a brand new iPad Pro with a 10.5-inch display, the company gave the 12.9-inch model a refresh too.
The new 10.5-inch model reduces the borders by almost 40 percent to fit into an incredibly compact package that still weighs just one pound.
iOS 11 on iPadApple iOS 11 makes multitasking on iPad even more powerful with a new customizable Dock that provides quick access to frequently used apps and documents from any screen, and a redesigned app switcher makes it easier to move between pairs of active apps, used in Split View and now Slide Over. It includes new features for watchfaces, such as complications updating based on time of day or location and a new Siri-based watchface. The app will let users stream all the Amazon original hits.
WatchOS 4 will also bring updates to the watch’s fitness tracking, including a new user interface for the workout app and new integrations with gym equipment manufacturers. Siri will get a new, gentler, more realistic voice.
The goal is to make the iPhone “the largest AR platform in the world”, according to Apple software chief Craig Federighi.
The most powerful Mac, the iMac Pro. It will also learn new words from what you’ve been browsing on the web, and throw them up as suggestions when you are typing. At today’s WWDC keynote, Apple revealed a host of updates and upgrades to iOS, including many longtime requested features. Many saw them as underpowered and, truthfully, not worthy of the Pro moniker they carry. Beneath the familiar app-grid homescreen, iOS 11 reveals the future of Apple and its products.
