Democratic lawmaker criticizes party brand, Pelosi

Jason Easley broke down in these pages, “Three different examinations of the performance of Democrats in the special elections revealed that the Democrats are performing better than expected in these elections and are in a position to win back the House in 2018…” More than $50 million was spent on the race in Atlanta’s wealthy suburbs, making it the costliest House race in history. The win was a district that was strongly Republican, that Karen Handel barely won and it was a fight.

Aboard Air Force One Wednesday, White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said Handel’s win was proof “the American people are resonating with the president’s agenda” and want to see his it enacted.

And in South Carolina’s fifth district, Democrat Archie Parnell lost by a narrower 3.2 percent, according to the New York Times. You can measure their disappointment by imagining the triumphalism we’d be hearing had Ossoff prevailed. “It’s time for a new generation of leadership”.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi speaks about the recent attack on the Republican Congressional Baseball team during her weekly press conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, U.S., June 15, 2017.

“One important lesson is that when they go low, going high doesn’t f**king work”, Tanden said.

Some Democrats are so fed up with their party leadership that they are looking at ways of removing Nancy Pelosi from her post as House minority leader. Dem gov nominee MORE had won the presidential election last November.

“I don’t know if there is a solution in the short term”, Ryan said. “I think that people were in shock” after hearing a report from Pelosi and the head of the House campaign arm that Democrats lost, but were doing better in contests in other GOP districts. That’s not a winner’s mentality. Tim Ryan of Ohio, Seth Moulton of MA and Filemon Vela of Texas.

Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez, a former Obama cabinet secretary, confirmed as much when he said there’s no place for pro-life voters, many of whom are Catholics – a traditional Democratic voting block, in the party’s tent. “Do I think it’s fair that the Republicans playbook over the last four election cycles has been attacking Nancy Pelosi and demonizing her?”

“I respect any opinion that my members have”, she said. Moulton is a 38-year-old Iraq war veteran elected to Congress in 2014.

If the only message of the Democratic Party centers on Donald Trump, they’re hanging their hopes on a wildly unpredictable, unstable individual. You’re responsible for everything your platoon does or fails to do.

The focus on Pelosi comes in part because she’s the only figure in Democratic politics who is universally known and detested on the right.

“Clearly, we’re coming off an election, and she’s been getting pounded now for 10 years with negative ads from the Republicans”.

Although the party’s hit some tough losses, Pelosi is standing behind her positive spirit.

As Conservatives, it’s time to stand up for Nancy Pelosi.

She is, after all, a millionaire San Francisco party-line liberal incapable of understanding what most of America wants and needs.

RYAN: Those are still effective ads that hurt our candidates. “They’re anxious about paying the bills, what’s happening with our pension, how much does it cost to send a kid to school, what’s our energy bill like”.

“She’s easy to demonize”. We’re used to that.

Pelosi faces criticism and a new rival, Stephen Jaffe, in her next primary election.
