A manager at the Reno location on Kietzke Lane told KOLO 8 News Now she was informed at 8 o’clock Thursday morning that the company was filing bankruptcy and to closed her doors.

“I might not get my dress before the wedding or I might have to get another one”, one bride said.
But grooms-to-be may now conjure a very different, angry image when they think of Alfred Angelo and remember how their beloved looked when they heard the news about the company’s closure.
At the store Friday afternoon, most of the lights were off and the doors were locked.
Some women said they received calls from the store while others found out on social media.
Employees at an Orlando, Florida location passed out cards with the phone number of the law firm handling the bankruptcy to people who stopped by the store.
Channel 9’s Julie Salomone spoke to many brides who stopped by the store looking for answers.
“I cried my eyes out”, she recalled of finding the ideal dress.
Holly Fudge, a Kettering resident, said she has two friends who bought dresses from the store.
In Tampa, customers were told that if they were unable to pick up their dress yesterday that it would be sent via FedEx. However, some clients said they had been told that they could still pick up their wedding gowns that had been finished and were in stores.
“I’m really trying to stay calm, but all the money we put into these dresses”, Mejia said.
I never in my life thought we would see the unfortunate situation of a bridal store abruptly closing and leaving brides stranded again, but apparently I was wrong.
The is no information on the company’s website. Store officials say they’re working on a backup plan if the retailer doesn’t provide the dozens of dresses brides are now waiting on.
Last June, Jones paid Alfred Angelo Bridal the full cost for her wedding gown and three bridesmaid dresses for her daughters.

She’s 64 days out from her wedding and has already paid $820 for a dress, sash and veil.
The company has over 60 stores across the nation and its gowns and dresses are sold at more than 1,400 wholesale stores worldwide, according to the WSJ.

“I knocked on the doors until someone came out, ” she said.
