Sure, The Bachelorette is known for drama and heartbreak, but after tonight’s finale, Rachel Lindsay might want to turn off her Twitter mentions for a while. “He realized this was a serious decision not to be made with the pressure of the producers”. I think that unlike Peter, Bryan is willing to tell Rachel that he’s all in, no holds barred, no high-minded concerns about engagement being too serious for a reality-show relationship.

Back in Spain, Rachel was still all confused about Bryan vs. Peter (we JUST realized those are both characters on Family Guy). If Rachel can’t accept that, well, he will make a fine star of The Bachelor. Even if they didn’t get married anytime soon, a proposal would signal that he was serious about her. But her bumper crop of eligible men has been whittled down to an unusually well-matched final three, making it more hard than usual to assess who’ll be walking away with the final rose.

After a couple of overnight dates with Eric, Rachel reluctantly had to let him go. Because unlike Peter, whose real-world hang-ups got in the way of the game, Bryan came ready to commit to the fiction of The Bachelorette.

That meant Abasolo was left to do one thing: propose. That night, Bryan brings this up, and Rachel is glad he does.
