He got a knockout that helped erase the stain from his fight with Manny Pacquiao two years earlier.

Although Kellerman and Smith praised McGregor for his performance, they did state that Mayweather did show his age of 40 on Saturday night and is correct in making the call to retire and have this his last fight.
However, also as expected, many so-called fight fans chose to stream the fight illegally rather than pay said price tag, and that resulted in a huge deluge of pirated streams, of which 239 were reported.
Customers are suing Showtime for their coverage of Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s victory over Conor McGregor due to the quality of their stream and buffering issues. Mayweather and McGregor reportedly earned $100 million and $30 million, respectively, despite the fact that the fight ultimately didn’t sell out.
“That was me defending my sport”, De La Hoya explained to reporters Monday.
“I thought Oscar won the fight on points, threw more punches and was more aggressive”. “There’s no way I would have paid for it, so I was definitely looking for somewhere to go, and it was really convenient being right here”. “Like I said, I think he’s a great fighter”.
White isn’t sure which fighter will be McGregor’s next opponent, but he is sure that his next fight will definitely be in the octagon with the UFC.
That’s the warning from Floyd Mayweather Sr when asked about the megafight between his son and the MMA star in Las Vegas over the weekend. Diaz seemed to be convinced that McGregor didn’t win any. “We were just hoping that it wouldn’t be a disaster where people were going to say, ‘We’re never going to buy another pay-per-view'”. Everything he taught me from day one is still with me.
Golovkin judged that McGregor “should go back to the UFC … he’s not a boxer”.
Yeah, it certainly beats watching at home with your mates who got drunk and passed out before the fight even started, like I did.

That was, of course, a reference to a comment McGregor made in the weeks leading up to the fight. “I knew what I was getting”.
