Apple to announce the iPhone 8 on September 12
The iPhone 8 and new Apple Watch 3 are expected to be unveiled soon so plenty of details are leaking more regularly, the latest is about wireless charging.

Apple may hold the event at the Steve Jobs auditorium of its new Cupertino campus, according to the Journal.
Apple is expected to introduce wireless charging to the next iPhone at its September 12 event – but the feature might not be as impressive as we originally thought, at least to start. That means the Apple TV will finally catch up with Roku, Chromecast and other products that already offer the sharper image quality that’s supported by 4K TVs. Back in 2015, Cook said he plans on giving away most of his wealth to charity. However, it’s worth noting that while rumor has that the release date will be September 12, Apple hasn’t officially announced anything.
The confirmation of a date in September will come as welcome relief to investors who have been hearing for months of rumours that the phone’s hardware was proving problematic and that a delay was inevitable. There’s a lot of speculation about what this model may cost – The New York Times pegged the price at about 9 last week. In fact, there are several reports stating that Apple will unveil not one but three new iPhone models.
With August drawing to a rapid close, it’s quite likely that we will get to see an official confirmation of the iPhone 7 launch event date from Apple in the very near future.
Moreover, iPhone 8’s display will feature thin bezels which makes it quite similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S8.

Investors will also be looking for new augmented reality capabilities for the iPhone, powered by Apple’s ARKit, and perhaps a new version of the Apple Watch (or at least, the release of watchOS 4). Apple did not immediately respond on August 28 to an email inquiry from eWEEK about its upcoming launch date. There are typically 10 or 11 days between a new iPhone being announced and launching, so this year’s iPhone could be available on Friday, September 22 based on that trend.
