Uncertainty continues for DACA recipients in Tucson
Since the Trump administration’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals in early September, immigration reform has become bigger than Russian Federation once again.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Sunday warned congressional Democrats to “exercise extreme caution” in negotiating a deal with President Donald Trump aimed at restoring an Obama-era program that has shielded thousands of immigrant students and young adults in the USA without documentation from deportation.
Immigration attorney James Lamb says he thinks the President will face a lot of backlash from Republicans if he agrees to the deal with the Democrats.
Cotton has proposed what he’s calling the “RAISE Act”, (Reforming American Immigration for a Strong Economy) which aims to create a merit-based system and curtail legal immigration. That, they say, would further what they consider the militarization of the border.
However, the Trump administration that it is rescinding DACA, thus fulfilling one of Trump’s campaign promises to end the program and take a tough stance on illegal immigration. Approximately 800,000 Dreamers have come forward and received DACA, which has allowed them to contribute more fully to their country as teachers, nurses, engineers, first responders, and service members. “We’re putting in cameras, we’re putting in sensors, we’re putting in an electric grid”, he continued. Better than a fence. This is a new electronic, highly sophisticated fence.
Rossbacher said HSU will hold a “Know your Rights” panel session in a couple of weeks for students to come ask questions and air concerns. We do not believe they should be disqualified from doing so because of acts they did not commit. “In exchange for a much improved program for Dreamers, Congress should significantly increase America’s border security by funding additional personnel, technology, and physical resources at our border”.
Ms Ingraham mocked President Trump’s statement on Friday morning that parts of the current border fence were being reinforced under his direction.
“Then the president will say ‘I have a cyber wall. They’d never do it”. He said during the next two years, with the repeal of DACA, these workers will be subject to rolling deportations.

Cuomo is close with Pelosi but has had a cooler relationship with Schumer. “We thought we had an opportunity to get something good and let’s see what happens”.
