Jennifer Lawrence’s mother! Is Pissing Off Audiences
She’s briefly dipped her toe in the horror, too, with 2012’s House at the End of the Street, and has stayed away from the genre until this weekend, with the debut of director Darren Aronofsky’s mother!

Director Darren Aronofsky has been quite candid about the allegorical nature of the film, which necessitates a dissection after viewing, resulting in not only mixed reactions of the final product, but also frustrations at not seeing a thriller starring one of Hollywood’s most acclaimed actresses. If you’ve seen Mother! Aronofsky earned critical acclaim for earlier films including The Wrestler and Black Swan. Lawrence revealed that this worries her because she thinks that is not how it works. As things-that-go-bump-in-the-night type of movies go, this is fine, and Lawrence’s ability to convey so much on her face helps. “. Lawrence said she no longer finds motherhood appealing as she has grown older. That they know I represent Mother Earth; Javier, whose character is a poet, represents a form of God, a creator; Michelle Pfeiffer is an Eve to Ed Harris’s Adam, there’s Cain and Abel and the setting sometimes resembles the Garden of Eden”.
Lawrence is thoroughly appealing, as always, as a desperate everywoman, and Pfeiffer, with her salt-and-vinegar voice, is delicious in her strangely creepy role – she’s the only person on screen who seems to be having a bit of fun. “Then I got a script and when I read it I threw it across the room and told him he had severe psychological problems”.
I’ll say it, I did enjoy the movie. The one that was awarded an Oscar of the best actress for her performance in Happiness Therapy announced a few days ago to stop shooting for the cinema for the next 2 years.
The other films on the list include, 2002’s George Clooney sci-fi remake, Solaris, 2012 Brad Pitt starrer, Killing Them Softly and 2006’s Nicolas Cage horror film, The Wicker Man. I just didn’t know if I would be able to do that, if I would just look like I was miscast, if it was just going to be awkward and then I was insecure during the whole shoot of just like, ‘What is this looking like?

As the bootlicker media attempts to convince themselves that social justice warrior-Lawrence’s venomous attacks on the customers and their intelligence (The Princess of Pro-Science blamed Trump for two hurricanes) had nothing to do with this weekend’s career catastrophe, I want you to keep two words in mind… I mean, this was not much more than the Nicolas Cage movie “Vengeance”, which made just $5,000.
