Ten become five and five becomes two on this season twelve finale of America’s Got Talent.
Darci has been heavily favored to win the contest and its US$1 million cash prize right from the start.
Before the results were revealed, all 10 finalists took to the stage one last time to perform with big-name talents. She received praises from the judging panel, comprised of Heidi Klum, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell.
Coming in third was dance crew Light Balance, followed by deaf singer Mandy Harvey. For the full 2016-17 season, “AGT” is the No. 4 most-watched entertainment series on television, behind only “The Big Bang Theory”, “NCIS” and “The Walking Dead”.
Earlier in the finale, Angelica and Kechi did a trio with Kelly Clarkson on her hit song “Stronger”. Next, singer Evie Clair and the awesome dog-dancing team, Sarah and Hero, came forward and host Tyra Banks revealed that Sarah and her dog took the second spot in the top 5. They even got to perform together during the finale.

Angelica, who turned 10 over the course of the competition, has stunned viewers and judges alike throughout the season. “I’m so overcome with joy that she was with me in the top two”.
Oscar victor Marlee Matlin called Harvey an inspiration to the deaf community, and the singer performed with Shania Twain. They sing “Looks Like We Made It”.
Darci responded by suggesting Edna sing Cowell a song. She’ll be joined by the other finalists.
