Bucs at Vikes Game Wrap: Return of the Vikings’ Offense

“They are some savages, man”, wide receiver Mike Evans said. He got off to a sizzling start in the opener, finishing 27-for-32 for 346 yards and three touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints. Minnesota led 21-3 at the half on Sunday and eventually came away with a 31-17 win over the Buccaneers. Do they tie themselves to Bradford long term knowing his persistent injury issues? Tampa Bay got another stop but the Vikings were still able to tack on Forbath’s 37-yard field goal to make it a three-score contest again.

Then in 2007 running back Adrian Peterson arrived, and the Vikings went to a ground-oriented attack. And in the victory, the Vikings offense gave him plenty of opportunities to kick them.

NFL.com stated that the Vikings may not choose up the fifth-year choice in Bridgewater’s contract.

“I was having fun”, Keenum said. Throw him in a trade.

His production has been a huge upgrade over last season in which the Vikings ranked dead last in the National Football League in rushing. The Rams hadn’t had one since 2007 until Kenny Britt barely joined the club with 1,002 yards in 2016. There were three Viking players around Evans, and Winston still tried to thread the needle.

So far this season, Shaan is 2-0 picking the results of Minnesota Vikings games. His totals: 53 for 76 (69.7 percent) for 793 yards, seven touchdowns and just one interception with three sacks. With the Buccaneers trailing 14-3 in the second quarter, Winston drove Tampa Bay into scoring position and then took a shot at the end zone in DeSean Jackson’s direction.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph will also have a big day. I thought we got into that tonight.

With Vikings starter (and former No. 1 pick) Sam Bradford out with a knee injury that could sideline him for more than a month and Minnesota staring at a 1-2 start, Keenum saves the day.

Keenum did his best Aaron Rodgers “R-E-L-A-X” interpretation by carving up the Bucs defense like Thanksgiving come early as Minnesota throttled Tampa Bay 34-17 on Sunday before 66,390 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

“For me, I accept my role on this team”, Keenum said. “He does a lot of great things”. My views (not that anyone would want to hear them) are that Kaepernick’s protest is a peaceful one; it harms no one, except for the sensibilities of some-which means it is an effective peaceful protest.

Thielen, though, is downplaying the possibility.

The Dolphins aren’t going to make the playoffs with someone like this who can’t get a pass to an open receiver.

“I prepare every week like I’m going to play”, he said.

After what he did Sunday, it’s a shame Keenum could return to clipboard duty as early as next week if Bradford returns.

With Kwon Alexander, Brent Grimes and Chris Baker out, the Bucs really needed the rest of the defense to step up. “I’m not blaming it on Sam”.

“No, they haven’t”, the third-year pro said. “I think us not hurting ourselves we did better with that this week”.
