Amazon on Wednesday announced five new Alexa-powered Echo devices in a dizzying product rollout that comes across as either impressively ambitious or insane and unfocused.

Amazon’s “all-new” Echo and Echo Plus offer better sound quality and Dolby signal processing. The company also introduced a device Echo Connect, which you can use to make free calls in North America.
Previously, the first-generation Amazon Echo retailed at $149. All three devices use Amazon’s Alexa voice control interface.
All of Amazon’s new Echo devices are available for preorder later today. The latest announcement is a device they’re calling the Amazon Echo Spot wish looks to be a smaller version of the Echo Show and will fit perfectly on your nightstand.
You may have already seen some of Amazon’s promos for this on YouTube; the main hook here over the regular Echo is that it’s a smart home hub capable of interfacing with over 100 smart home devices.
Amazon has released its new Echo Spot smart alarm clock as it refreshes its Alexa voice assistant products. The Echo Spot is available for pre-order now and ships in December.
Its small size makes it flawless for virtually any room in the house (not unlike the ultra-tiny $49 Echo Dot) and it borrows a few features from Amazon’s only other screen-based Echo, the Echo Show.
The online retailer hosted a major event at its headquarters in Seattle last night where it unveiled a new Echo smart speaker and an updated 4K Fire TV streaming device. Furthermore, it is created to support 4K content and high dynamic range video. Here is a quick roundup of the new products.
In a demo, Limp asked an Echo Plus to detect new smart devices. With this integration, all the Echo users with landline phones make calls by just using their voice.

“The all-new Echo and Echo Plus deliver better sound, all new far-field technology, and new features we think customers will love”, said Amazon Alexa SVP Tom Taylor. “This $149 United States dollars device is larger than the rest of the Echo speaker family, measuring 9.3″ x 3.3″ x 3.3”. It has 2.5-inch display to provide visual information. It also has a camera built-in, so you could call your friends and family and interact with them and show them yourself.
