Clinton took to Twitter to offer her condolences to the victims while also criticizing the National Riffle Association for its efforts to make it easier to buy silencers for guns. “The NRA was fighting against the cop-killing bullets and plastic guns, and we got into an alliance with law enforcement and we just got together and said, ‘What’s the first thing we should do?’ And we all said, ‘Background checks'”. But stars and politicians like Lady Gaga and Hillary Clinton aren’t giving up, and are insisting that lawmakers and elected officials fight for a safer nation. “We as a society need to stand up and say it’s time to take action, and stop talking”.
But in her mind she is the president and America needs to hear from her. Chipman now works as senior policy adviser for Americans for Responsible Solutions, the gun control group started by former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.). He plans to travel to Las Vegas Wednesday – after meeting today with storm victims in Puerto Rico.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter calls out a “shadow government” in which the people helping to write gun laws are the same people profiting from sales of guns, pointing out, “The N.R.A. would like to keep it that way”. People are often more desperate for a narrative than they are facts.
