“Meticulous planning” ahead of Las Vegas shooting

The girlfriend of the Las Vegas gunman has arrived in the U.S. and is being questioned after the killing of 58 people on the Strip.

Before the shooting, Paddock wired $127,000 to the Philippines, though the recipient of those funds remains unclear, according to 7 News. Fifty-nine people were killed and more than 500 injured while attending the final night of the Route 91 Harvest festival.

Paddock had four video cameras at his hotel room, Lombardo said.

Earlier it was reported that the shooter brought to the hotel room Mandalay Bay not more than 16 firearms. Police believe the gunman moved between windows during the attack, which happened when singer Jason Aldean was on the stage.

Marilou Danley, who said she had voluntarily returned to the United States, released a statement as she was being questioned by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents for clues to what urged Paddock to execute his planned carnage.

He previously referred to the shooter as a “sick, demented man” and responded to calls for increased gun control with: “We’ll be talking about gun laws as time goes by”.

Mendoza said Paddock would lay into the much smaller Danley when she asked about using his casino card, which had credits from gambling that could be used to pay for things inside the casino.

Ms Danley’s sisters claim Paddock purchased her a flight to the Philippines two weeks before the senseless attack.

Lombardo said he didn’t know what the gunman was planning with the explosives, if anything.

“It never occurred to me in any way whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone”, said Ms Danley, an Australian citizen who moved to the U.S. 20 years ago to work on the casino strip.

Investigators also anticipate Danley to shed light on the latest police finding that Paddock had wired $100,000 to an account in the Philippines just days before the Las Vegas carnage.

She was married to her now-ex-husband for 25 years before their divorce in 2015, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported.
