A TWITTER POSTING shows an aerial view of John F. Kennedy High School following an explosion. Four other workers were in the building at the time, and it’s unclear if they were injured. A Consolidated Edison utility spokesman says the explosion happened on the school’s sixth floor. The cause of the explosion was unknown, he said. However, it is known that the two less-injured workers were a 38-year-old and a 53-year-old; the worker in critical condition is a 36-year-old.

All three were taken to the burn unit at Jacobi Medical Center, the FDNY said.
