OnePlus 5T launched – here’s how much it will cost in India
However, the company also revealed that it will be rolling out the Android Oreo Global ROM for OnePlus 5 users later this month.

This year, the company is releasing the OnePlus 5T. What has happened since then is nothing groundbreaking but the market sure has shifted towards better-looking smartphones that provide a new kind of user experience.
Aside from that, the OnePlus 5T is essentially the same as the 5, and as such, you should expect a similar level of performance.
The internals are more or less the same as the OnePlus 5.
Unfortunately, there’s still no optical image stabilisation (OIS) present on either sensor, though the company has said that they’ve vastly improved the electronic image stabilisation (EIS) technology for smoother videos. With the help of machine learning to recognise entities on the screen-like a complete address-users will be able to easily select text they want with a double tap, and even bring up an app like Maps to help during navigation.
The 8GB device with “Face Lock” feature, 18:9 display and an enhanced low-light camera technology will be available in 64 GB and 128 GB (midnight black) variants for Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively.
We’ll give the 5T a full breakdown during our benchmarks, but first impressions are good so it looks like OnePlus has produced yet another victor.
OnePlus 5T has stuck with the headphone jack like its predecessors and hasn’t gone introduced wireless charging as well. Users who use multiple logins for their phone apps might also like the ability to use more than one SIM card, and the dual-card 5T obliges.
The handset comes in two RAM+Storage variants of 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB.
As for the specifications, OnePlus 5T boasts 6 inch full HD+ Optic AMOLED 2.5D Curved Glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 18:9 aspect ratio. We’ve gone from “flagship killer” to phones competing in both price and specs with flagships from bigger, more well known companies. And what might strike a similarity with the now popular iPhone X is that the 5T comes with a Face unlock feature.
OnePlus 5T starts at $499 (64GB) / $559 (128GB) and available for purchase starting November 21.
A new Face Unlock feature is also here in a marketplace of other facial recognition methods such as Apple’s Face ID and Samsung’s limited iris scanning capabilities.
OnePlus has stretched the 5T’s 2160×1080 AMOLED screen almost to the edges of the device, as is the fashion with many competing flagship phones. OnePlus has ditched the telephoto lens to make way for a larger aperture sensor, which now makes a 20MP + 16MP setup with the same f/1.7 aperture. You can thank the novel new display for that.

The OnePlus 5T does retain some key similarities with OnePlus 5 including being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, and comes with a 3,300 mAh battery which supports Dash Charge fast charging tech.
