Windows 10 May Block Pirated Games

Numerous users praised Microsoft as they were given the Windows 10 OS for free which provided them with a sleek interface and numerous new functionalities.

While it is clear that the EULA’s terminology of “counterfeit games” refers to hacked, or pirated video games, the definition of “unauthorized hardware peripheral devices” is not specifically defined. Microsoft has been doing similar monitoring of Xbox titles on the Xbox console for a long time, blocking pirated game copies, hacks and certain peripherals.

With Windows 10 already running on over 14 million machines, it is still uncertain how Microsoft will be able to disable counterfeit or cracked software which includes its own Office suite. However, there hasn’t been any clarification on what is meant by unauthorised hardware. “Sometimes you’ll need software updates to keep using the Services”. This means there’s a number of changes that come thanks to feedback from the community using the latest operating system, so some of these new features could be what you requested. But for those thinking Microsoft had gone soft on pirates, think again, as Windows 10 has the ability to disable your pirated games.

Microsoft has pushed out an emergency patch for Internet Explorer after a vulnerability was found that allows attackers to control PCs. Today’s build 10525 is the first build after the official release of Windows 10 on the 29th of July.
