Netanyahu: Partnership between Israel & India is doing wonders

Last year, Modi made a first trip to Israel by an Indian prime minister ever.

Mr Netanyahu arrived here this morning and held a grand roadshow along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi before visiting the Sabarmati Ashram, the abode of Mahatma Gandhi for a long time. The two leaders were greeted by thousands of Indians who poured into the streets waving Israeli and Indians flags, while displaying signs bearing the faces of Netanyahu and Modi.

INDIA’S 1.3 billion citizens received a strong message from their Prime Minister this week: their future is bound up with Israel. “Let a few hundred million people see the friendship”, said Netanyahu and took a selfie with “Bollywood”.

“There are many positive thing”, Netanyahu said. Netanyahu presented a special gift – the Gal-Mobile water desalination and purification jeep – to Modi. Modi and Netanyahu waved at the people, who greeted them with loud cheers. “The president and the prime minister are not saying anything different”.

The Israeli boy who was saved by his Indian nanny from the deadly attack in the Mumbai Chabad house in 2008 returned to the scene where his parents were murdered on Thursday.

A guest, who attended the interaction, said they sought Netanyahu’s help in starting an Air India flight between Mumbai and Tel Aviv, as this will help tourists as well community members from Mumbai.

Today, Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu laid a wreath at the memorials of the victims of 26/11 terror attacks. For Moshe Holtzberg, the son of Chabad’s emissaries at the time, it was a first return to India since the attack.

He said the partnership between the two countries rests on shared values of love for humanity, democracy and freedom.
