Patriots will defend title against Eagles

With other celebrity Eagles fans like Charles Barkley and Bradley Cooper expected to follow hoards of Philadelphians to Minneapolis for the Super Bowl, Trout is undecided about whether he’ll join them. At the back of the end zone, the former Texas Tech standout leaped high in the air to catch the ball and got both feet down in bounds before his momentum carried him out of the end zone.

Super Bowl LII is already outpacing its predecessors in the secondary ticket market, making the New England Patriots-Philadelphia Eagles matchup, perhaps, the most lucrative in National Football League history.

It took just five plays for Brady to finally claim the lead, and the touchdown pass to Amendola from 4 yards out was a thing of beauty.

Another hurdle was the opponent.

Again, Amendola has put up a season worth of work in 12 playoff games.

“Really, as I said out there, really proud of our players, did a great job”.

Past year he had eight receptions for 78 yards, a touchdown, and a two-point conversion in the Patriots epic comeback against the Falcons.

“I think we are”, Trout said. It’s not always great.

“Going forward, we know that this team is going to be a true contender and we’re going to go out there and earn it”, All-Pro defensive end Calais Campbell said Monday.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles hopes the end of the team’s dream season isn’t the end of his time with the organization.

Trout invited Angels teammate Tyler Skaggs, a Minnesota Vikings fan, to join him in Philadelphia for the NFC championship game.

If the Jaguars had held on to beat the Patriots, fans could have gotten behind a team that had been wretched for so many years before finally getting its game together.

Along with chasing a sixth title, New England also has another goal: seeking to become the first team in 13 seasons to win back-to-back Super Bowls. “I didn’t know that on Wednesday”.

“Let’s get ourselves going and let’s take this lead into halftime”, coach Doug Marrone said. I thought it was a good play, but the refs thought otherwise.

“It wasn’t the biggest play I’ve made, but it was definitely one of the most important”, the soft-spoken Gilmore said afterward. It’s a tremendous feeling, quite honestly. According to ESPN.com, only four teams in the last 20 seasons have allowed fewer points per game in the postseason prior to reaching the Super Bowl.

StubHub said before the NFC championship game, Minnesotans made up 26% of ticket sales but since Sunday’s loss, that share has dropped to 18%, with ticket sales from Pennsylvania climbing 567% since Friday.

After the game, one of the first people to congratulate Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was referee Clete Blakeman.

There may be an answer to the latter.

Brady was listed as questionable after he hurt his right hand during practice earlier in the week.

“I think as soon as I get the stitches out, then I think it will be good to go”, he said.
