Leaked Galaxy S9 render shows a modest design update

Samsung’s invite for its Unpacked event at MWC is already teasing the S9’s camera as a big feature.

While Samsung has failed to innovate in a significant way in this S generation, as indicated by the very familiar phone we’re seeing in the Galaxy S9 image, that doesn’t mean they don’t have something new up their sleeves. It could also help the Galaxy S9 capture photos with more depth and bokeh. However, the objective and the implementation is unknown.

Unlike the usual camera modules in today’s smartphone with a fixed aperture, this new camera is a miniaturized version of the mechanism seen in bigger professional camera models.

Digital Trends has a lot more detail on what the new camera might be able to do, such as super slo-mo, better low-light photography, and more, as well as other S9 rumours and predictions, so check it out here for more detail. This is especially needed given the fact that the Pixel 2 has dominated the camera department for quite some time now. Samsung Galaxy S9 is said to feature a 5.77-inch screen whereas the Galaxy S9 will arrive with a larger 6.22-inch screen. The company did the same thing a year ago when it launched the Galaxy S8.

We’re nearly certainly going to hear more about the Galaxy S9 as we get closer to Mobile World Congress and the phone’s official launch, and we’ll update this story as we do.

The clearest pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S9 we’ve seen so far have just been leaked.

Samsung, according to Forbes, will equip the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus with a primary 12-megapixel rear camera-and with ability to shoot with an F1.5 aperture.

According to VentureBeat, the Galaxy S9 will feature a 5.8-inch display, will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor in the USA, have 4GB of RAM and come with 64GB of storage space. Stay tuned for coverage of Samsung Unpacked on February 25. The front camera comes with an 8-megapixel sensor and the smartphone is IP68 water and dust resistant.

Early rumors questioned whether the Samsung Galaxy X was really a “bendable” phone with a single screen, or just a hinged device with two separate panels same with ZTE Axon M. It appears now that Samsung is going to try a full-on single flexible display.
