Apple shares fell to their lowest level in 2018 on Monday, knocking off $14 billion from the company’s market value.

J.P. Morgan analyst Narci Chang said last week that manufacturing of Apple’s flagship phone, which goes for at least $1,000 a pop, could be down 50 percent between the December and March quarters. The number will reportedly drop from 40 million units to 20 million.

“We don’t think F18 will be a “supercycle” year given unit growth of about 10% dependent on China”, UBS Analyst Steven Milunovich wrote in a note. But Apple’s new Indian head Michel Coulomb plans to do away with these discounts, according to an Economic Times report. This report says that the company wants to release these devices later this year. The handset, which doesn’t yet have a name, will have the same True Depth sensors for Face ID and Animoji as the iPhone X, and it will also lack a home button.

Japan Display would supply about 70 percent of LCD panels for the 6.1 inch iPhone.

Apple has cut its iPhone X production target in half, adding to evidence that demand for the phone has been poorer than expected.

Quite a few of Apple’s iPhone parts suppliers are based in Asia.

The final three months of the year is a blockbuster quarter for Apple, coinciding with the launch of its latest gadgets. Another report from Taiwan also points out the development of a new version that would be the cheapest offering in the 2018 iPhone family.

Apple products are unarguably looked-forward to by a lot of us, but one big factor that easily holds anybody back is the hefty price tags that come with it. The LCD model is said to include 3GB RAM.

The new devices are said to be 5.85-inch and 6.46-inch units. KGI Securities believes it will have an LCD screen, which is an older technology than the OLED screen found in the iPhone X. And Kuo predicts it will have an aluminum casing, which is less premium than the stainless steel on the iPhone X.

According to Kuo, the larger iPhone X Plus and second-generation iPhone X will each have an increased 4GB of RAM. Typically, Q4 is a very good quarter for iPhone sales.
