The latest cinema superhero has premiered in Los Angeles. They’re all pointing to the same thing: that it might just be Marvel’s greatest movie yet. “It’s a movement. People are excited about the cultural aspect of it”.

On screen and off screen queen, Angela Bassett looked divine as she walked the purple carpet at the El Capitan in this vintage fringed jumpsuit. Ever since, post-credits scenes have been a major part of MCU worldbuilding and often work as teasers for upcoming films.
Many black reviewers also praised director Ryan Coogler’s “handling of issues of identity and imperialism”. If these are the powers being given away in teasers and trailers, there’s bound to be some very interesting tricks up this movie’s sleeve.

But Coogler, who directed 2013’s “Fruitvale Station”, is getting credit for accomplishing much more than reinvigorating the genre with his film, which hits theaters February 16.
