Black Panther’s worldwide premiere recently took place in LA.

The latest cinema superhero has premiered in Los Angeles. They’re all pointing to the same thing: that it might just be Marvel’s greatest movie yet. “It’s a movement. People are excited about the cultural aspect of it”.

Our hearts can not stop racing after seeing these pictures of Chadwick Boseman looking like a proud Wakandan King. In fact, tickets sold out so quickly that even Lupita Nyong’o couldn’t get tickets to a normal screening where she could watch with friends.

Lupita Nyong’o, actress: “We had a cast of black people from all around the world”. Daniel Kaluuya kept it impeccably smooth and traditional in a Ugandan Kanzu.

During red carpet season (and it is most definitely a season), every awards show, party, and premiere has a different vibe.

The raving reactions are mostly appreciating Michael B. Jordan’s performance in the movie. “I don’t know that that’s really true, but that’s what we saw in sales”, Marvel’s David Gabriel said in an interview in March 2017.

Two Hollywood heavy hitters say the film is history in the making, and they couldn’t be more proud.

While the elaborate reactions are yet to come, the initial reactions deemed the movie “incredible, ‘ ‘bold” and intense. But this is one of the first full scenes that we’ve seen of Black Panther, though it comes free of context.

On screen and off screen queen, Angela Bassett looked divine as she walked the purple carpet at the El Capitan in this vintage fringed jumpsuit. Ever since, post-credits scenes have been a major part of MCU worldbuilding and often work as teasers for upcoming films.

Many black reviewers also praised director Ryan Coogler’s “handling of issues of identity and imperialism”. If these are the powers being given away in teasers and trailers, there’s bound to be some very interesting tricks up this movie’s sleeve.

But Coogler, who directed 2013’s “Fruitvale Station”, is getting credit for accomplishing much more than reinvigorating the genre with his film, which hits theaters February 16.
