Book review: fearless by Rose McGowan
A lawyer for Harvey Weinstein on Tuesday called actress Rose McGowan’s claims of rape against the former Hollywood producer “a bold lie”.

It wasn’t until Rose McGowan accused Harvey Weinstein of raping her 20 years ago that she realized she had been the victim of “molestation” at 15.
McGowan has been doing a press tour for her book – and let’s be honest, everyone wants to hear her speak on the most talked about hot topic of the year.
“When they slapped those handcuffs on me, they were cold and heavy”.
As we reported, the fearless author’s book reading turned ugly on Wednesday when a woman in the crowd confronted her about transgender rights.
McGowan thanked everyone for coming and ran off to her next appointment, a scheduled appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, which resulted in just about the same outcome. She also said that she was told an unnamed individual was offered a large sum to obtain her hotel room number.
“I remember only the first”, Argento says.
Then McGowan turns the tables and suggests most of the TV critics are most likely working in situations where the pay between men and women is unfairly balanced. “And please just listen to people who have less privilege than you and know what they [are] talking about”.
McGowan interrupted her to say, “Hold on”.
Dier later said the confrontation was planned, and told the website them, “We [transgender women] go through the same shit, statistically more”.
Farrow’s Weinstein investigations helped spark the national reckoning over sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood and other workplaces. “Talk about what you said on RuPaul” – referring to comments Rose made on RuPaul’s podcast What’s The Tee? last summer about trans women. But it is what McGowan said about her former Charmed co-star that raised the most eyebrows. In essence, McGowan transformed her event into an anti-transgender rally.
“I’d been attracted to him, so I always filed it away as a sexual experience”, she began. “Yesterday’s statement from Mr Weinstein and his attorney Ben Brafman unequivocally proves a continued attempt to malign, smear, and “slut shame” Rose McGowan”.
McGowan: Do you think I don’t know these people?
But the situation escalated when the woman asked what McGowan had done for transgender women. What I do for the fucking world and you should be fucking grateful. Next, she vented against the industry women who didn’t take her side. “I mean – fuck, I was nearly shot in the Bronx for what started as a catcall”. The truth is you all failed me.
‘And you know so this man he was very famous, ‘ explained McGowan.
The woman said, “I have a suggestion”.

Farrow revealed that the actress had revealed the identity of the alleged rapist to him saying: “And she did tell me the name of this person which obviously I would not say without your being ready for that”.
