The 24-year-old officially started her modeling career when she was 13, InStyle reports, but only recently rekindled her passion last year.
“Thank you @mj_day @darciebaum and the whole team at SI, love you guys & all the craziness we get up to”. Also on the list is 19-year-old Sailor Brinkley Cook, who’s mom Christie Brinkley was actually on the first cover of the mag in 1979.
This year, Danielle Herrington is the cover model for the issue. She has since gone from super model to super mogul with fashion, home, and lifestyle brands estimated to be worth 400 million and $2 billion. All those things separately don’t guarantee a cover, though. Danielle was a shy girl, who went from taking her first photos last year to showing up this year a completely different person.
The 25-year-old, who rocketed to worldwide stardom thanks to her fabulous curves, was standing on a large rock in the middle of a the beach when things turned sour.
According to People, the gymnast and survivor hopes to use the “In Her Own Words” platform to be an agent of change both in the gymnastics world and beyond.
“I felt like I was laughing in the face of death”, she said of her determination not to hold up the proceedings.
Whilst the debate rages on, numerous models that feature in the issue have come out in support of Sports Illustrated.

We caught up with the pro para snowboarder to get her take on shooting for SI Swimsuit, body positivity and inspiring others.
