On Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 26-27, Graham will lie in repose inside the Graham Family Homeplace, located on the grounds of the Billy Graham Library.
It’s hard to imagine another USA religious leader like Graham filling a stadium for days on end and moving so deftly through the corridors of power that he could minister to Democratic and Republican presidents alike.
“Lyndon Johnson would ask him for advice and Billy was willing to give it”, he says.
This world was blessed to have him walk its surface for over 99 years.
Father Oetgen introduced the evangelist: “We welcome Dr”.
Billy Graham’s message was simple, direct and eloquent.
Graham was a fiery Southern Baptist preacher early on. “Graham before he is laid to rest”, they said in a letter to Franklin Graham.
At his peak which lasted longer than most Graham was offered political power and movies.
Deryl Graham is the son of Billy Graham’s brother.

“For me, being from Charlotte and being a part of that final moment will be really awesome”, says Harris. On issues of race, he steered a centrist course, insisting on integration at his evangelistic crusades and supporting the Civil Rights Act but criticizing civil disobedience among African American protestors.
We’ve seen photos of him shaking hands with so many famous people through out the years and now we are hearing lots of testimonies of what that handshake meant to the fortunate individual.
In Graham’s case, Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced the ceremony after conferring with the Rev. Franklin Graham. “I consider this a new stage in my ministry”, said Rev.
Jon Meacham is author of the forthcoming “The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels.”This commentary was distributed by Washington Post News Service”.
The younger Graham said his father was the same at home as he was on television.
William Franklin Graham Jr. was born on November 7, 1918 and raised on the family dairy farm in Charlotte.
He preached his final revival meeting in NY in 2005 at the age of 86. We felt this was symbolic since he stood behind a pulpit most of his life preaching the Gospel.
He was ordained a Southern Baptist minister in 1939, graduated from Wheaton College in IL in 1943. Graham had later said he regretted the comment.
I had ignored Dr Billy Graham’s message in Windsor Park, but it caught up with me in the Garden Tomb of Jerusalem, resounding with the clarion call of certitude and absolute truth.
