AAP refuted Prakash’s allegation and responded with counter charges.
“The said assault and manhandling of a senior bureaucrat on February 19, 2018 by sitting MLAs are highly disturbing, outrageous, shocking and highly deplorable”, the association said. It is quite visible that the work of the Delhi government is being stopped.
There are around 70 IAS officers and 400 Delhi and Andaman Nicobar Island Civil Services officers working with the Delhi government.
The Congress called the alleged assault on the chief secretary a ‘planned strategy of the ruling party and demanded Kejriwal apologise to the bureaucrat.
Khetan also hinted at Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) involvement in the mob attack, “For a mob to gather there and make Delhi Secretariat a rioting place, so, on whose behest was it done?”
In a letter to DCP North, the Chief Secretary has claimed that the AAP MLAs abused him and also threatened to frame him in false cases inclding under the SC/ST Act. AAP minister Imran Hussain and legislators Prakash Jarwal and Anil Dutt too have filed counter-FIRs against Prakash, alleging that the chief secretary had used casteist slurs against some AAP legislators at the meeting. Earlier this morning, Amanatullah Khan reached Jamia Nagar Police Station and said that he has come to surrender. The officers said the situation represented a “functional crisis” for the government. “Our MLA is seen following him and trying to talk to him”, said an AAP leader. “There is FIR by minister as well as video evidence, but no arrests”, he added.
Meanwhile, IAS association is Delhi on Tuesday held a candle light protest march at Raj Ghat against the alleged man handling of the Delhi CS.

“DASS, DANICS, IAS and other associations of Delhi government employees formed a coordination committee comprising of representatives of all associations”. The associations organised a meeting on Wednesday and later issued a statement saying that officers who are members of the three associations would only communicate through formal written channels, which means that the secretariat would function without any meetings unless the matter is resolved. “The civil servants should be allowed to work with dignity and without fear”, he further tweeted.
