Little room for questioning whether raising the minimum age to purchase that gun could have stopped him.

In perhaps the most viral moment of the night, Senator Rubio struggles to give a straight answer when pressed by a Parkland teen over whether he’ll continue to accept money from the NRA.
Knowing she would be excoriated by the media for her stinging statements, Loesch stared down members of what she called the “legacy media” in the back of the room and told them they could write whatever they wanted about her, but warned she would not be silenced.
“Look at me and tell me”. She said she felt he was the most conservative in the race and she had always planned to support whoever represented that.
He said he “absolutely” accepted that guns were a factor in the attack.
“That’s a very valid point”, Rubio responded.
Lori Alhadeff, whose 14-year-old daughter died in the Parkland shooting, has a litany of questions for her legislators and the NRA spokeswoman. He also stressed his support of the ban on bump stocks, changing the background check system and increasing the age to buy a rifle.
“Many in the media do because they like the ratings aspect of it, and it’s true because it’s wall-to-wall coverage”, Loesch said. “The fact that you can’t stand with everybody in this building and say that, I’m sorry”.
Later another survivor, Cameron Kasky, slammed the spokeswoman while he was questioning Sen.
“Some (tips) we answered by phone, some were out of state, some we went out there”, he said.
Trump had tweeted just days after the shooting, “Very sad that the Federal Bureau of Investigation missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter”.
On March 24, they will hold a nationwide “March for Our Lives” protest to get politicians to take action on gun violence.
Today, in the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre, gun-control supporters are feeling energized, angry and afraid, determined to make noise about this issue, to cast votes based on it, to donate, to protest, to volunteer. “I think I’m going to interrupt you real quick and remind you that the question is actually, do you believe it should be harder to obtain these semiautomatic weapons and modifications to make them fully automatic, such as bump stocks?” she asked.
Deadline has reached out to Loesch for comment on Guyot’s claim.
During the event Dana Loesch, spokesperson for the NRA, was confronted by the mother of Scott Beigel, a teacher who died in the shooting, who asked why the inalienable rights of her son were not as protected as that of the right to carry weapons.
Someone in the crowd then shouted, “If they live to do it”. “The influence comes from the millions of people that agree with the agenda, the millions of Americans that support the NRA”. She criticized “flawed” background check systems, though the NRA on its website states that it opposes expanding those systems. “Do I support banning weapons that fire off 150 rounds in seven or eight minutes, weapons that are weapons of war, that serve no objective other than killing the maximum number of people they can, you bet I am!”
“Many in legacy media love mass shootings. Maybe years down the road”, he said.

The personal, blunt nature of the gun control discussion was a common theme at the town hall.
