Trump attacked his political opponents numerous times during his campaign, including McCain. “We support the incredible men and women of law enforcement”. And over the weekend at Mar-a-Lago, Trump heard from guests grappling with what to do in the wake of the tragedy. Different factions are always trying to control the overall discussion, and in this case, Trump is exerting more influence given his bully pulpit. On Wednesday night, Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida with 30 percent.
“For the media, the fake news back there, they took very good care of them, they were very gentle, he was very obnoxious”, he said. “Certainly nobody under 21 should have an AR-15”.

Or perhaps more accurately, the conservatives gathered in the cavernous ballroom proved they are all Trumpians now.
“The NRA doesn’t like it, but the president has specifically said in the last couple of days that he does like the idea”, York said. Instead, he held out hope they could work together.

Paired with supportive interviewers, they highlighted the administration’s work over the a year ago and its future plans. I’ve been to the homes where they’re sitting shiva. I’m close to them. The last two items are what really sent the media into a frenzy. We want to see if we can get it done.
