However, after the event, a senior HMD Global executive did reveal when these phones will reach Indian shores.

While HMD Global has dipped its toes into the U.S. market in recent months with the Nokia 2, the original Nokia 6, and the retro-styled Nokia 3310 reboot, the company has generally focused on bringing affordable, secure devices running “pure” versions of Android to consumers in Europe, India, and other emergent markets.

An Android smartphone which is known for being nearly impossible to fold or bend by hand, has been added to Nokia’s line-up.

The new Nokia 8110 is being shown off at the Mobile World Congress this week.

As for how these will perform, we’ll let you know when they land locally, with Nokia’s smartphones not too far away, and hitting Australia retail before the end of this financial year. Pekka Rantala, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer of HMD Global, said. Jamie Rosenberg, VP, Business & Operations, Android & Google Play added.

The screen of the Nokia 8 Sirocco curves very slightly around the sides of the front, much like what we’ve seen from Samsung and BlackBerry for more than a year now. Nokia 6 2018 and Nokia 1 are coming to the U.S. market in May-June timeframe followed by Nokia 7 Plus later. The Nokia 7 Plus comes with a dual camera setup on the back and those two cameras do protrude.

Now, in terms of specs, the Nokia 7 Plus is a mid-range smartphone, but quite a compelling mid-range phone. Run by Android Oreo 8.0, the phone has been priced at €749 and goes on sale in April 2018. HMD Global has also promised regular updates.

RAM, Storage, Battery & Other Features – Moving to the RAM & Storage. The Nokia 8110 doesn’t support many apps.

The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. The front-facing camera is a massive 16-Megapixel with a new Pro camera mode for those who like more granular control over the camera settings. There is even a module NFC for contactless payments and net firmware Android 8.

Its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and USB Type-C.

HMD is also releasing an Android Go phone-the Nokia 1.

HMD says the Nokia 1 was built to give users a complete Nokia smartphone experience accessible to everyone.

For now there is no phone, but Nokia’s 8110 4G will be available this May. It comes with KaiOS-a fork of Firefox’s now discontinued Linux-based mobile operating system-and uses HTML5 apps. The internal storage of the phone is 4GG.
