While Rousey seemed to be holding back the tears throughout, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence in her ability on the mic, her WWE career is officially underway. For this reason, many viewers are questioning why WWE let Rollins defeat both in one night. This was supposed to happen at WrestleMania 31, but Lesnar re-signed with the company, WWE got cold feet, and Seth Rollins injected himself into the match via the Money in the Bank briefcase to win instead. Triple H said that not only she would be invited at Wrestlemania, but would also be competing in a non-title match. Lesnar did not visit the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view that was going on nearby.

Matt Hardy claimed victory in a tame affair against Bray Wyatt, while Roman Reigns outlasted the efforts of seven other men in the other Chamber match of the night to earn himself a shot at Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania.

But the story was soon revealed as Angle, a good guy character (compared to Triple H and McMahon’s generally evil nature), told the fans in Las Vegas and Rousey that the pair had been badmouthing her before the signing. Braun Strowman had a few more moments of greatness, which included an impressive clean sweep eliminating five guys from the match and powerslamming his way into the history books with the record for most eliminations.

Sure, Nia Jax is the roster’s current one-woman wrecking crew but her penchant for tackling her opponents through a barricade squarely puts her into the category of a Braun Strowman. What would you guys like to see moving forward as we gradually make are way towards WrestleMania?

She then chose to roll out of the ring, leaving a stone-faced Rousey to sign her contract and drop the folio on to a dazed Triple H.

There had been rumors that perhaps Rousey would get the chance to team with Johnson again, but several reports stated that he would be unable to compete due to insurance concerns from the films and television shows he’s now shooting because an injury could occur while he’s performing in WWE.
